I did NOT want to do this. however, We only have one key for my car, and my parents grabbed it along side their keys in the morning. So my car key was 50KM from my house when i woke up in the morning.
Ended up taking the bike in -2C degree (about 29F for those reading this in black and white)
it.
was.
COLD. with cold in capitals.
fuck me.

You need to put snow tires on that bike.

there’s no right temperature to ride a bike. when the weather is nice we sweat like crazy in appropriate riding leather.

Stay safe on the way home. Shock tends to have unpronounced effects that don’t dissipate after warming up and eating once or twice.

Anlas makes "snow tires" for full size motorcycles in certain sizes. Which you can add studs to. I've thought about doing this more than once, but they're hard to get in the US.

29F !?
That’s cute I’ve ridden down to about 20F more than a few times this year. Heated grips and heated vest make it pretty comfortable with the right outer layers.

29 F with no heated gear. just jeans, doubled up jacket, and a balaclava. no grips either.
i’ve ridden in -40F with the SV. THAT I was bundled the fuck up for.

-40 is hella cold. I've experienced that once. I tried to go snowboarding. They closed the resort because of the cold. And my engine oil was basically frozen. I can't imagine front on a bike at that temp.
